Market Overview
The month of October gave us a complete 180 when compared to September. From a month of pain to a month of new records being broken. Many investors and institutions took advantage of the dip and brought the market to new highs with ease. It's safe to say that it seems like nothing can stop this market for a prolonged period of time. Supply chain issues, companies outright saying "We don't have the supply for the demand", and the inevitable Fed taper means nothing to this machine. The S&P 500, Nasdaq and Dow Jones hit new highs in the month of October. They are up 6.91%, 7.27% and 5.84%, respectively at the close of October.
Monthly Performance
We also saw some names from our watchlist make history. Tesla finally joined the trillion dollar club after it broke $1,000/share (there were entries that became present for Tesla on the July and August watchlist. Hope you guys were able to take advantage!). Microsoft, the silent killer became the world's most valuable company after surpassing Apple. For the month, Tesla and Microsoft, were both up 43.65% and 17.63%, respectively. At the close of the month the VIX was at 16.26 and the "Fear and Greed" index was at 72, indicating "Greed".
